Through The Lens Magazine
Our magazine is dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging artists who have not yet had the opportunity to be featured in mainstream publications. We believe that there are many talented artists out there whose work deserves to be seen and appreciated, and we are committed to providing a platform for these individuals to share their work with a wider audience.

Monochrome
This month, Through The Lens celebrates the enduring artistry of monochrome photography—where black and white imagery strips away distraction and reveals the true essence of a moment. Without the influence of color, the focus shifts to light, shadow, texture, and form, allowing each image to speak with clarity and emotional depth.
Monochrome photography has long been a cornerstone of the craft, rooted in the earliest days of the medium yet continually evolving with modern techniques. The interplay of highlights and deep shadows creates striking contrast, while subtle gradients of gray add dimension and mood. Whether capturing powerful portraits, dramatic landscapes, or abstract compositions, black and white imagery transforms ordinary scenes into compelling visual stories.
In this issue, we explore how photographers harness contrast, silhouette, and tonal range to create images that feel both classic and contemporary. Monochrome reminds us that sometimes less is more—where simplicity becomes strength, and every detail carries meaning.
Accepting Submissions
April (Lensball/Loupe)
Through The Lens magazine is now accepting submissions for our April 2026 issue, featuring the Lensball/Loupe theme—celebrating creativity through reflection, refraction, and unique perspectives.
Submission Guidelines:
You may submit up to 12 high-resolution images.
All images must be 300 DPI and ideally sized at 8” x 11.5”.
To be considered for the cover and main feature, you must submit a full set of 12 images from a single photo session, unified by a cohesive lensball or loupe-based concept.
What We’re Looking For:
Creative and artistic use of a lensball or loupe as a key visual element within the composition.
Images should highlight reflections, distortions, magnification, or unique perspectives created through
these tools.
Submissions may include portraiture, fashion, fine art, conceptual, lifestyle, or environmental photography.
Strong composition, intentional use of focus, depth, and light manipulation is highly encouraged.
All photographic genres and styles are welcome, provided the imagery remains tasteful and artistically styled (no explicit nudity).
How to Submit:
Please send your submissions via Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox, or directly to ttlfmag@outlook.com.
The submission deadline is April 3rd, 2026.
For questions or clarifications, please contact us at the same email above.
